A trip to Mockville is like a trip back in time. Back to a time when life was much simpler. Back to a time when the soft glow of a kerosene lamp, glowing through the kitchen window, let you know you were almost home. Home, where the roaring fire was a welcome relief from the bitter cold. Home, where you knew you would be amongst family and friends.

That is the feeling you will have when you arrive at this quiet and pristine hunting lodge and guest ranch. Your hosts, Glen and Connie Mock, have opened their home so others can experience their way of life. A way of life that allows one to hear the chirping of birds at daylight. The gobble of a turkey on a cool spring morning, seeking a mate. The sight of wild deer feeding in an open field at dusk. A way of life many of us dream about but seldom have the opportunity to experience. All of this and more is available at Mockville and at a price that won't make you sell the home place to experience.

Rosa Mae's

You'll feel like you just stepped into a fine bordello.
Dated back a hundred years ago.. Rosa Mae was a "lady of the evening" from Bodie California, in the 1800s

We're not sure what her house looked liked, but we used our imaginations and came up with this cabin..

The parlor is decorated Victorian, has 2 bedrooms, a full kitchen. All the amenities that Rosa didn't have.. nestled away from the other cabins down by the timber line, enjoy sitting on the large covered porch.

Firewood, basic cooking staples, air conditioner and modern conveniences are included. There is a 2 day minimum stay for Rosa Mae's. A corral is available for those wishing to bring their own horses.

Trapper Jack's

Trapper Jack's established June of 2006 It's a cozy, old-timely cabin for two on the edge of the timber.

The furnishings and the decorations harkens back to an earlier time, but there's a gas fireplace for warmth and maybe a little romance. There's also a fire pit for cooking or making s'mores, or just sitting around. We think you'll like it.

Firewood, basic cooking staples, air conditioner and modern conveniences are included.
