For Lease:  9-18-08 Shareholders have the rights to hunt 2300+ acres of incredible deer/duck properties. Our resources consist of a variety of habitats; food plots, hardwood timber, wooded draws, agricultural land, and CRP. Swan Lake National Wildlife Refuge and Fountain Grove Conservation Area provide the deer with a sanctuary to get some age under their belt and are legendary for producing trophy class whitetails. They also attract and hold large numbers of migrating waterfowl.  With properties bordering and adjacent to these areas, we are fortunate to take full advantage of their benefits.  One location alone is 620 acres bordering Fountain Grove Conservation Area Refuge.

Waterfowl hunting includes early teal season, early Canada Goose season, duck and Canada Goose regular season, as well as snow goose season. We have 9 flooded waterfowl locations. They are all full of water for the 2008-2009 season. These consist of managed moist soil marshes and timber oxbow sloughs. These are walk in areas although pits are available in one farm. Layout boats or temporary blinds may be used, decoys need to be self provided and picked up every day. Excellent dry field hunting opportunities are also available. Dry field hunting occurs in the agricultural fields that are adjacent to Swan Lake National Wildlife Refuge and Fountain Grove Conservation Area. Waterfowl hunting locations are picked on a daily basis at the cabin. To allow for equal opportunity, there will be a daily draw at 5:00AM. If you show up after this, there will be a board in the cabin, you simply look to see what farms are open and sign yourself into them for the day.

Membership allows archery and gun hunting, including muzzleloader season for deer. Archery hunting is climber stands only. Scouting and hunting may be done anywhere within the defined sections of farms that will require a daily sign in. This is intended to ensure that every member is allowed equal opportunity to hunt ample amounts of area without interference.

Rifle and muzzleloader seasons are only done within the stands that are provided for you in excellent areas. Stands consist of enclosed shooting towers and ladder stands. Every member will have a stand for every day of these seasons. To allow for equal opportunity, stands will be allotted prior to season based on a lottery system. Leased members will be allowed to trade among themselves by providing written member approval to the owners within 3 days of the trade.  The largest deer shot on our properties last year was a 176" dandy and several larger bucks were seen.  We found one side of a shed on one of our farms this spring that scored 80", he is sure to be a bruiser this fall.

Upland hunting is also available on these farms as well as dove hunting.  Starting in the fall of 2009, there will be a couple different dove hunting locations consisting of sunflower fields.  With dove fields on Fountain Grove Conservation Area, the dove numbers in the area and excellent, as is the dove hunting.  A dove banding program has been implanted on Fountain Grove and adds a little bonus to the dove hunting.  Early season dove and teal combos are a great way to kick off the season.

There is a cabin that sleeps seven people. This can be reserved on a first come first serve basis for $20 per person per night. The cabin includes a full kitchen, grill, satellite TV, full bathroom, etc. The daily draw will take place at this cabin. Members are welcome to use the cabin as a warming shack or a place to hang out, cook lunch, etc throughout the day.

For those who like to fish....there are 4 fully stocked ponds within 10 miles of the cabin. They are absolutely full of fish, especially slab crappies.

The hunting club membership is valid from September 1-April 1 every year. The cost is $3000/person and limited shares are available.  The price will be going up as will the amount of ground.  However, by getting in this year, you are locking in your rate for as long as you stay in the club.  Children rates are half price for the full season, $1500.  Guests can be brought along while waterfowl hunting for an additional $100 per guest per day, but must receive pre approval from owners.  Guest dates will depend on how many members are planning on hunting on any given day, but there is more waterfowl hunting available than all the members could hunt on any given day.

If you would like to see the properties, please let us know and we can arrange a time for you to come up and take a tour/start hunting!
