I always go to the ruler and then click path and click it off! The lines will show up!

You may not believe in God, That's your choice.
However, if someone breaks into your house at 3 AM, the first two things you will do are:
1) Call someone with a gun.
2) Pray they get there in time.

On my version (4.2) its under the tools section at the top of the screen. On a side note thought i would mention the MDC has a downloadable KMZ file for google earth that has all of the conservation areas in the state in it and their boundary lines.

My ruler is on the toolbar across the top. Looks like a mini blue ruler.

Another cool feature i have found is the ability to overlay topographical maps on top of any area u want .Then by manipulating the topo overlay and tilting the area u get a great 3d effect showing the hills and valleys and other topo features better than looking at the topo by itself
