Default Pedestal mount ideas???

My wife and daughter will be getting their 07 deer back soon and the wifeys is gonna be a pedestal mount.
Originally we were just gonna hang it on the wall but now been thinkin bout using somthing like an old fence post with some rusty barbwire to hang it.
Anyone have any ideas or pics on how we can display her pedestal mount???

Thank for the help,
Robert

Robert, here's one that I always thought was really cool... It's a full tree on a rolling base...Can't see it too well in this pic. I'm thinking of doing something seriously like this when I get my axis back.

yeah but that axis is much bigger then yours heeler

actually i like the fence post idea with some strands of barb wired strecthed out, i think that looks pretty neat.....or find a medium size tree that you can scratch up and make it look like a rub

Hey quit hijacking ShedHead's topic. But yes, that axis is a MONSTER!!!!! That picture doesn't do it justice.

I also thought about finding a big rubbed tree and cutting and using it but not for sure how to cure(?) the wood or if it would even look right.

If I go with the post idea I like Ryans thought of using hedge, old rusty wire, and an old rusty no tresspassing sign.

Was also thinking of something like cultured stone. No clue how.

P.S. HIJACKING is O.K. if ribbing is involved!

Here's my future mount when I have the man cave that I want...

I'm going to have a buck mounted with a corner mount form with his head down. I am going to get one of those old wooden fence posts from out west that has been rubbed to an hourglass shape and build it into a base with natural setting. I want to mount the deer low to the ground, maybe waste high with the base built to fit into the corner where the mount looks like it is rubbing the post. Maybe with his head cocked a little to the side and some white of the eye showing, like he's really tearing it up.
