Thanks Jack and all for everything.
I'd never shot sporting clays and didn't know what I was in for other than burning some powder. I had a blast and honestly shot about what I'd expect to shoot with no practice. I kinda approached if like a 3D and make kill shots versus trying to 12 ring every target. Some stations I managed to kill birds and some I came close to the 12 ring despite not aiming for it, if that makes sense.
Anyway, thanks for the intro to sporting clays. I'll be looking for a place to shoot more often close to home.

Wish we could have made it. Whether wing shooting or busting clay birds, the more you think the worse you'll stink.

Sounds like a good time again. Wish I could have made it this year.

Son in law rented a golf cart so I left my vest and hull bag in the truck. No need to lug around 4 boxes of shells on foot and I normally keep my empties but decided to just buy some cheap Federals and leave the hulls in the barrel instead of keeping them to reload. I've got lots of AA hulls for my reloading future.

Not as fancy as the back pocket of my jeans serving my shell holding apparatus at each station.

I brought my own cart last time I had an MDS shoot here on the east side. The sister-in-law and her daughter (neither of which shot) drove it around so I basically hauled it all the way out there fo them.
