Prayers for your son and all else concerned . Also praying for a long beard trophy in April. Give the lil feller a pat on the back, a scruff of the head, a big hug, and tell him I admire his courage.

He is not overly worried about the why he needs the surgery. What he is worried about is the risk to his vocal cord with the location of the mass. He asked how can he sing to GOD and say his prayers if he cannot speak?

Wow! If we could all have his perspective what a different world it would be.

Prayers for you guys.

We got to the range after church this afternoon so he and my wife could pattern there shotguns using the Winchester 3inch number 5 turkey loads. Eric shooting his Remington 870 youth Jr 20ga and my wife shooting her 11-87 woodsman 20ga. We decided to use milk jugs filled with water with a cap size circle drawn on the side as aim point, at 20 yards. The jugs sitting on the aluminum saw horse. A solid hit maid a spectacular display and the jug flew back wards off the saw horse. A partial hit and it would simple slid askew and maybe go off the saw horse.
One thing that was amazing was the fact that the jugs were trapping some of the copper coated pellets. Either it was the water slowing them down some, or it was just a fluke. But the jugs that had only about three inches of water in them seemed to trap the most. The main purpose of the water in the jugs was to keep them on the saw horse.

It proved to be a lot more fun then shooting paper turkeys to get idea of pattern.

If all goes well we 4 will be able to make opening day of regular season. Doing it this way will allow our youngest ample recovery time and he wont have to worry about doing his patterning after the surgery. But if he heals fast and wants to shot more he will be able to.
