A very productive weekend comes to a close. Finished 4 clover plots at the farm, and made a welcome discovery on the last one that I was unable to till due to the amount of rocks in it. After burning it a few weeks ago there was a considerable amount of clover sprouting from the remnants of the burn. I loaded up and headed to my aunts small farm on the edge of town (just down the street from my house, conveniently). Two new millennium lock on stands arrived from amazon and heard a few gobbles off the patio while grilling a couple inside loins.

I also got up early this morning to listen for turkeys on my farm for the first time. I can conservatively say that I heard 10-12 birds within ear shot with the closest being just 250 yards or so from where I perched in the old shooting platform in the middle of the back top field. It was a special moment hearing the first gobbles on my farm and can only smile and look forward to the many more to come.

Roger's had Millennium's on sale for $69 and free shipping a few days ago, if anyone is looking. Not sure if they are still on sale, the only stand I'll buy.

Shoot, I gave $99 on amazon for this pair. Prime shipping is amazing though. I ordered them Friday afternoon and they were delivered Sunday before noon.

As for that Rogers Price..... well I had to buy 3 more. .....

A few honey do's around the house, got a couple TV's up on wall mounts, and took the bad boy out with the ol lady and rode some field edges looking for sheds... no luck though. She just likes driving.

Probably did. I am done there with my tractor until after turkey season. I have a buddy coming in to plant my rowcrop plots in a few weeks

Default Clover in at my Aunt's place

Not on my farm, but I got another clover plot in at my aunts place last night. It's just a little hidey hole back in the woods but should be good.
Also check camera there and 4 gobbler group and another pair using it regularly.

Pulled the truck in there today to move tractor.l back to house and found 4 gobblers and several hens. One of the toms was breeding a hen and let me get within 15 yards before he hopped off of her and bugged out. Wish I had a better camera. Took these with my iPhone
