"2005 MWT's Pheasant Hunt"

On Saturday, February 19th, 2005 ,MissouriWhitetails.com and it's members hosted the second annual pheasant hunt for hunters with disabilities at Heggemeier's Game Farm and Kennels in Higbee Mo. Hunters from as far away as Springfield, Mo braved the less than favorable weather to attended the event. Each of the five participants, Kurt Schlosser, Mike Vogel, Troy Moore, Rick Vandyke and Kirk Lowery,  successfully harvested birds. Three of our hunters were first time bird hunters and each harvested their first pheasants ever. Congratulations to all of them.

Our thanks to Dave Heggemeier and his wife for providing another high quality pheasant hunt and for opening their lodge and sporting clays range for our use. Our thanks also go to  the assistants who donate their time to make this hunt possible. Rusty Waite, Doug Waite, Joe Gassner, Brian Richardet, Pat Sheerin, John Pate and David White.

Plans are already in the works for a disabled hunters duck hunt to be held at Heggemeier's game farm this fall.
